Ferrarini, Belonging to the Pini Group, Projects a New Production Plant to Respond to its Growth and Expansion

The development plan projected since the Pini Group acquired Ferrarini in 2023, a year in which the company increased its export volume and turnover, goes ahead

Ferrarini, a leading company in the cold meat sector in Italy, Spain and Europe, is expanding its facilities with a new production plant that will be located in Masone, in the municipality of Reggio Emilia. Ferrarini has confirmed in 2024 a growth that was reflected in its last fiscal year, with an increase in its export volume and turnover of around 15%, reaching earnings for 150 million euros.

Since 2023, Ferrarini is part of the Pini Group, and with this new investment, the company will respond to its important growth and expansion phase, reinforcing its presence in the national and international markets and acting in synergy with the other companies that make up the holding, which owns the largest slaughterhouses in Italy (Pini Italia and Ghinzelli) and Spain (Litera Meat) and is positioned as a leading group within the pork meat sector with a turnover of about 2,000 million euros in 2023.

This project includes a total area of 180,000 m², and having acquired the land last May, construction works will start at the end of this year. The new production plant represents an investment of 95 million euros, will consist of 50,000 m² of built surface and will be equipped with the latest technology in the food industry, which will entail a strong boost in the production of cold meat. “This is a very important milestone that reflects the progress of a renewed Ferrarini, with new horizons and a vision for the future”, as stated by its Director Roberto Pini.

Ferrarini is a synonym of tradition and good work, and with this new production plant, it proves the solidity, ambition and spirit of growth of a brand that has a history of distinction and is a symbol of excellence.
